After School Matters celebrated 25 years of providing after-school and summer programming for Chicago teens with its annual gala Sept. 19 at Navy Pier. Presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois, the event attracted over 1,000 civic, corporate and community leaders and featured a showcase of talent from 250 of the 10,500 teens who participated in the programs this past summer.
