Altgeld Youth Drama Group: an after school program that integrates an African - centered cultural enrichment curriculum and theater activities that involve youth civic engagement thereby promoting positive youth development. Youth participants gain social competence, self confidence, character building, and positive connection to peers, family, school and community.

The Contemporary Painting Studio is a visual arts program for teens interested in expressing authentic perspectives of their place in their worlds through practicing contemporary art. By studying the relationship between visual metaphors and narrative, students will create artworks that reflect on the theme of "their Chicago, their selves."

Culinary Artistry is a culinary program that teaches our apprentices the skills and cooking methods needed in a professional kitchen. The teens will also explore their creativity by finding inspiration in life and other art forms. By combining culinary skills, literature, theatre, and fine arts our apprentices will create more artistic portfolios.

This Flamenco Arts Program introduces teens to flamenco culture and present some of the many forms (palos) of flamenco music and dance. Teens learn the history of flamenco dance including history, geography, musical, rhythmic, and composition.

Teenprov focuses on the development of confident and empowered teens through ensemble based situational comedy. Teens will gain acting, improvisational, sketch writing techniques and the marketing skill set to pursue creative careers. By the end of the program each teen will produce a resume and participate in a fully improvised showcase.

Skateboard Design is a painting/design program where advanced apprentices will learn about skateboard production and use assorted painting techniques from painting to screen printing to create finished skateboards.
