The Experimental Animation program combines different processes and media to create an animated narrative. From hand drawn, painting, cut-outs, and pixilation techniques, teens will create movement in all dimensions. Then through computer software, the teens will learn to add and edit audio to their animation.
Visionaries provides youth with an intensive introduction to the principles and applications of story-writing, multimedia and filmmaking fundamentals, combined with hands-on experience and interaction with professionals.
The CTVN Hard Cover Digital Video Production Apprenticeship engages youth in the hands-on process of creating solutions-oriented video for broadcast, from concept & planning through shooting and editing. Apprentice artists gain tangible skills in all facets of film and video production that bolster success in academics and other endeavors.
Interns supervise and teach apprentices to improve writing ability, editorial skills, computer skills, photography, layout and design, public speaking and movie-making. Interns assist apprentices in creating a portfolio that will include a resume, biography, a public service campaign, a newsletter article and a newsletter. Interns are responsible for helping apprentices create a business to address an issue plaguing their community.
Digital Multimedia exploration is a multimedia program that utilizes computers and the internet to create a resume, biography, a business, public service campaign/newscast and a newsletter. Apprentices will create a portfolio and all work will be displayed at a culminating closing program.
A Digital Approach to News Broadcast is program designed to teach Apprentice vital communication skills while applying them in news broadcast. Apprentice receive instruction in digital and video cameras as well as video editing software.
Digital Media Masters II is an interdisciplinary, multimedia program designed to empower students to have a deeper understanding and control of creation and distribution of digital media through community outreach and online networking. Utilizing the latest technology, students will explore their world through the lens of interactive media.
Interns hold daily classes for summer camp participants to teach them how to refurbish computers that will be donated to the community. They also teach computer use classes that include basic computer use as well as common software use and creating, maintaining and transporting files.
Region 1. Taking music, photography, drawing, dance, film making or game making even further. As an intern at the Computer Clubhouse you will mentor other youth and works with industry professionals to learn even more about the work as a career. As an intern you will become both better artists and better leaders.
The "Chinatown Youth Video Program" gives youth hands-on training on all aspects of video production. The youth work on video projects such as commercials, short films and documentaries about community problems.
