No teaching experience is necessary. We look for skilled professionals who can share their knowledge and expertise by providing meaningful, real-world activities for young people.
We work with community organizations, teaching organizations and independent instructors to offer programs in schools, parks, libraries, and within Chicago communities. We are organized into seven regions that span the city. You can propose a program in a one or more regions. The RFPs are issued annually as follows:

| Summer | January (six months prior to program start date) |
| Fall/Spring | February (nine months prior to program start date) |
The Summer 2011 RFP will be released in December 2010.
