After School Matters/gallery37 Retail Store
The After School Matters/gallery37 retail store, located at 66 E. Randolph St., offers a wide range of paintings, sculpture, textiles, jewelry, ceramics, and painted furniture created by teen apprentices, aged 14-21, who participate in After School Matters/gallery37 arts programs.
Modeled after predecessor gallery37's innovative and popular arts apprenticeships, After School Matters expanded gallery37 and introduced new program areas, including sports37, tech37, words37, and science37. Today, After School Matters is the largest program of its kind for teenagers in the United States.
After School Matters partners with the City of Chicago, Chicago Public Schools, Chicago Park District, Chicago Public Library, the Chicago Department of Children & Youth Services, the Chicago department of Cultural Affairs, and hundreds of community-based organizations citywide to enrich the lives of teens throughout the city of Chicago.
