Last year, After School Matters provided 23,000 opportunities to nearly 16,000 individual Chicago teenagers acrossthree program sessions. However, the organization received more than 40,000 applications for those opportunities.With a focus on at-risk youth in high-poverty communities, the life-changing after-school and summer programs thatAfter School Matters provides are needed now more than ever.
