On Thursday, September 13, Mary Ellen participated in a panel discussion with Chicago Public Schools CEO Janice Jackson and Common about activism and education. The conversation focused on empowering our youth, identifying and integrating activism in daily life, and the importance of education. 10 teens from the Creative Writing program at Gallery 37 attended with their instructor Honey Crawford along with 20 staff members.
